Flip & Sip Spout Cleaning

Here’s how to remove the spout from the Flip & Sip lid for cleaning.

1. Open the spout so it is in the straight up position.

2. Press down firmly on the spout. This compresses it so it can pass through the small retaining track that holds it in place.

3. While pressing down, move the spout to about a 45-degree angle.

4. Once it clears the small track (shown in the photo), you can pull the spout straight out for cleaning.

4. Remove the silicone seal our for cleaning. These parts can be placed in the dishwasher or hand washed.

To reinstall it, simply reverse the process — press down, guide it back through the track, and rotate it back upright.

No tools required.

Trick & Tips!

Here are some simple deep-cleaning tips you can send customers after the lid is fully disassembled:

Deep Cleaning Tips for Your Yogi Flip Lid

Once the lid is fully disassembled, here are the best ways to fully clean and sanitize the parts:

• Soak all removable parts in warm water with Dawn dish soap for 10–15 minutes

• Use a small straw brush, baby bottle brush, or soft toothbrush to clean:

  • inside the spout
  • around the silicone seal
  • inside the pivot/wheel area
  • underneath the silicone plug

• For stubborn buildup or odor:

  • soak parts in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and warm water for 15–20 minutes
  • OR use a denture cleaning tablet in warm water

• After cleaning:

  • rinse thoroughly
  • allow ALL parts to fully air dry separately before reassembly

This is very important:
Moisture trapped between the silicone and plastic can lead to buildup or mold growth if the lid is reassembled while still wet.

• We recommend a full deep clean about once per week with daily rinsing in between.

• Avoid bleach, abrasive cleaners, or boiling water, which can damage the silicone and plastic components.

Cheers,
Jeff
