Flip & Sip Spout Cleaning

Removing the spout from the Flip & Sip lid for cleaning.

1. Open the spout so it is in the straight up position.

2. Press down firmly on the spout. This compresses it so it can pass through the small retaining track that holds it in place.

3. While pressing down, move the spout to about a 45-degree angle.

4. Once it clears the small track (shown in the photo), you can pull the spout straight out for cleaning.

4. Remove the silicone seal our for cleaning. These parts can be placed in the dishwasher or hand washed.

To reinstall it, simply reverse the process — press down, guide it back through the track, and rotate it back upright.

No tools required.

Trick & Tips!

Deep Cleaning Your Flip & Sip Lid
These instructions are for the lid and its parts. The tumbler body just needs warm water and mild soap — never anything abrasive on the ceramic. Once the lid is fully apart, every surface is reachable. That's the point of the design, and it's why nothing gets trapped where you can't clean it.

Weekly deep clean
Soak all removable parts in warm water with a mild dish soap for 10–15 minutes. Then use a straw brush, baby bottle brush, or soft toothbrush on the inside of the spout, around the silicone seal, and inside the pivot area. All parts are dishwasher safe on the top rack if you prefer.

For stubborn buildup or odor
Soak parts in equal parts white vinegar and warm water for 15–20 minutes, or drop a denture cleaning tablet in warm water and soak.

Drying matters most
Rinse thoroughly and let every part air dry separately before reassembling. Moisture sealed between silicone and plastic is the one thing that causes buildup, and it's completely avoidable.

A few things to avoid
No bleach, no abrasive cleaners, no boiling water. Any of these can damage the silicone and plastic.

Deep clean weekly, rinse daily, and your lid stays as clean as the day it arrived.
